The conference is organized by the Zomidea Design & Services Ltd and DBDC International Defence Publications & Events with the kind cooperation of the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Justice and Public Order of the Republic of Cyprus, International Organizations, the EU nations defence and security authorities and the international defence industry.
Topics to be covered include:
- Security and defence challenges in the Southern Eastern Europe and in the Middle East: The role of Cyprus
- Modernization of European Nations Armed Forces to meet the European Union’s Military Capabilities for participating in Peace Support Operations under UN, NATO and EU auspices
- Sensors, and Command, Control, Communications, and Intelligence (C3I) Technologies applications for Homeland Security
The goal of the conference is to present the capabilities of modern technology, as well as the existing solutions and applications in the field of modern weapon and C4ISR systems used in Peace Support Operations. In an era when the European Nations Armed Forces are completing the stage of their restructuring and modernisation and are using state-of-the-art weapons systems, the organisation of such a conference has been deemed pertinent and useful, since the contemporary form of the operational environment and its estimated shaping in the future, as well as the achievement of joint operations capability define the need to introduce the existing modern weapon systems.
The conference also aims to contribute in boosting cooperation between state authorities and the international defence industry society in the areas of information exchange, technology, intelligence, and operation capabilities in confronting defence and security challenges.
Experts from International Organizations and from the EU nations defence and security authorities will present existing methods - equipment used and relative future procurement plans. International defence industry will present all modern solutions and military applications.
